“Anddddd we’re back, welcome to Week 2 of the same ego stroke-fest, I am of course your host, The BDE Reigning MVP, Bad Boy, Royal Overlord Tyrant King Of Helios Brendan, AKA FangOverFang. Before I get into this week's rankings I want to shout out my assistant and now editor Antoons AKA Claptoons. As we entered into week 2, we encountered the same events that are expected in FOF teams forfeiting. Since COF has yet to play an actual game in season 4 I won't be ranking them as any rank I give them is premature. That being said, I would put them last as they had to forfeit games and I honestly developed PTSD from Helios mishaps. I may need a drink just thinking about it. It has been three days since I wrote that. I am also required for legal reasons to state FOF does not support using alcohol as copium, instead we use channel points. Here's to having more stability in all of our lives going forward.”
- Brendan (FangOverFang)
8th(?) - COF(?)
Church of Alphonzo didn’t play this week due to forfeits.
7th - SKL [-2]
Skill Based forgot their name as they dropped two huge flights of stairs in the rankings and down to the bottom of the leaderboard going 0-4 in the early pregnancy of FOF. SKL as a team is interesting. They show flashes of brilliance and then flashes of complete incompetence similar to myself. Zishan is making a case as the best ADC in the League but the rest of his team is letting him down. My main concern with SKL is their mentals going forward, going 0-4 can be extremely tilting on a team. Despite their horrid start to the season I still think they can climb higher than a lot of the bottom teams. But for now they will slot into the final spot.
6th - TAS [+1]
Spirit Airlines got their first five-star rating of the season taking down SKL. TAS was behind in kills for the entire game and got a comeback win. TAS as a team has always been a double-edged sword being very aggressive which can lead to their wins in this case or their demise in others. One of the most understated strengths in TAS is their ability to CS often being even or ahead on most teams. From my informant on TAS they as a team don’t tilt easily and overall seemed to be great friends with one another, so maybe I will keep one foot on the TAS train.
5th - FS [+1]
The undisputed crowned kings of the best names of FOF climb the circus steps by one rank because of their forfeit win. FS is still an extremely shaky team lacking in a lot of areas. In particular their farming is a huge concern for me losing in CS in every lane. In particular the best name in the league IOYM seems to have trouble learning when to farm, and when to gank *crab rave*. FOF has the luxury of having a 7-week regular season so they have time to improve. Perhaps FS can learn fire breathing or how to tame an elephant to gain more wins.
4th - SER [+/-]
The White Knights of SER still slot in at 4th for me. They went 1-1 in week 2 falling to H-Block and then gaining a win in the pestilences that are the constant forfeits that is plaguing FOF. SER did lose to H-block but they fought back admirably until the feared 15-min mark came, then they walked into prime Mike Tyson getting uppercut into the L column. I expect SER to have the same outcome going 1-1 in week 3 facing YUBI on Day 1 and then TAS on Day 2. We are still waiting to see if SER can rank up into a Large Pizza and a can of soda (or “pop” if you are uncultured.).
3rd - BBZ [+/-]
Even though BBZ is second place in the standings obtaining a 3-1 record they’re staying put for me at the 3rd spot. I honestly thought that H-block put up a better performance than BBZ against YUBI (I wouldn’t really call either of them “cats vs dogs” fights). One reason why they’re lower on the rankings is that I think H-Block will beat BBZ in their upcoming match in week 3 day 1. In addition, a former teammate of mine Jafy has been the clear star on the team, with Dakks also carrying some of the load. But the questions that were asked about BBZ at the start haven’t been confidently answered. BBZ mid laner Red, still looks shaky in the role swap to mid and their bot lane remains weak, only having one good performance against TAS.
2nd - HBK [+/-]
Team H & R block came into this week having their sights set on the cats, trying to save FOF from their terror. But, as all things we hope for, it ends in crushing disappointment… :( Unfortunately the saviors were played with and devoured in week 2 by the Cats. Besides their crushing defeat to Yubi they still looked solid against SKL taking a win. FlorahL and Idrees remain the stars of this team going forward. I'd like to see other teams step up to their level. They are still the team to watch in the coming weeks. Let’s see if they can slap YUBI with tax evasion to take the top spot.
1st - YUBI [+/-]
I am already in week 2 and I'm running short on how many more cat puns I can make. Yubi came into this season stomping on newly formed children teams in the offseason, now they are stomping on… newly formed children teams. Of course they played great games this week but I am going to shine the spotlight on Utility Monster. He had one of his strongest outings in week 2 for YUBI. Not much else to say they stomped SKL and they stomped H-block who was supposed to be the Scar to YUBI’s Mufasa, but alas the cat bois are kings of the jungle again hakuna matata. YALL THOUGHT I was running short on those cat puns.
