7th - RLS [+/-]

I’m sure everyone can see that RLS’s progress since Week 1 has been great, and we can continue to compliment this. These lads had a noble challenge ahead of them, and I’m glad they could do it. That being said, RLS still has an opportunity to prove themselves. Since they’re behind HBK and ACE by three wins, RLS will need to both win all their matches coming up (against POG, ACE, TUB and OOD), and at the same time hope that either HBK loses all their games, or ACE continues to forfeit. The chances are very low for them, but if they want the opportunity, this is their last shot.

6th - HBK [+/-]

H-Block has had different roster situations nearly every week of the season. I’m unsure if this an “internal conflict” situation, or if it’s a strategy, or if it’s just because of personal scheduling conflicts (understandably so, this is a long tournament). It’s a little tough to move HBK mostly because this past week they had a day off, and had to play against TUB. In their game against TUB, Idrees and Hayat showed a lot of promise, so I’m hoping that HBK solidifies their roster before the playoffs come around.

5th - ACE [+/-]

I mean… ACE didn’t even show up this week so I’m not even sure if I should bump them down. From what I understand, there was a family thing going on, so it’s completely understandable if teams have to FF. No one is expected to prioritize FoF over personal lives. Individually, I would say ACE is better than HBK, however we’ve seen in both the Mythic and Heroic Leagues that individual skill doesn’t win against better teamplay. Additionally, ACE hasn’t played OOD once this entire season, meaning there might not be enough data if both teams end up playing each other in the playoffs. Advantage? Disadvantage? Unsure.

4th - OOD [+/-]

There have been many factors that have gone into OOD’s wins, such as the enemy team forfeiting or a substitution situation occurring. The main thing we can take away is that OOD has looked far more in-synch with each other in their game against POG than they have in the past. It may have been Bob Jone’s return to the top lane that gave the team their buff, but the main question is: can they keep this up? Like I mentioned in the last entry, there’s not much to go on this week since ACE forfeited, but if OOD could repeat their success against ACE, or against HBK and SGR in their future games, I can be convinced to move this team up in the power rankings.

3rd - POG [-1]

This entry is kind of weird to do, since POG played both their games against OOD and SGR without their ADC, Crow the Moonlit. Despite the substitution situation, POG was able to still show their prowess in both early games. Their true test will be against The Ugly Barnacles on Saturday. Depending on how convincing their mid-game is, knowing that their early game has been some of the best in the season, POG can be viewed higher.

2nd - SGR [+1]

SGR has been one of the few teams we’ve seen in our history that has made a 6-man roster work well. Assuming Akaipo (4 games played) isn’t the starter, compliments over to him for holding down the fort consistently when he’s had to step up to the plate. SGR’s mid-late play in both their games was performed effectively well. The last half of the split shows which team can play consistently well, and SGR has had a steady increase in momentum over time. This team has the fortunate coincidence of having to only focus on their match against TUB this week, considering they have a day off the following day. The results of that match could show if SGR deserved this spot on the power rankings.

1st - TUB [+/-]

TUB shook off their first loss with a clean win against HBK, but other than that, since TUB got a free day off due to ACE forfeiting, there isn’t too much to go off of for this entry. Rhyre and Krumpy continue to perform exceptionally well, but their schedule this week could give them a run for their money. Playing against POG and SGR this week, TUB has an opportunity here to show that they’re still the top dog. The top four teams have been steadily increasing in power and coordination, so it’s only a matter of time for them to show who deserves the top seeds going into the playoffs.
