FFS3 Mythic Grand Finalists Interview

Grand Finals are here! Over the weekend, we took a moment to chat with our Mythic Grand Finalists before their final showdown. Shoutouts to Fat Ectomorph, Bobrovsky, Crow the Moonlit, StreetSmurf, and Hépaté for taking the time to chat.

In your own words, how did this team come together?

Fat Ectomorph: Just friends playing league together.

Hépaté: I was the last hope for StreetSmurf to win the tourney ;)

Bobrovsky: I kinda built the team.

StreetSmurf: We kind of knew each other from the past, IRL or League-related.

Crow the Moonlit: Well the team was mostly put together once Bobrovsky asked me to join the team but near the end of S2 he asked me to make a super team for S3 which we did lol.

If you had the option (or were forced) to go to any team in the League, which team would you pick?

Fat Ectomorph: None. Our team is the best.

Hépaté: The Ugly Barnacles.

Bobrovsky: Maybe TUB? I feel like their Jungler is very overrated and sure, he dominated when he was on his one-trick, but I feel I could be a good stabilizing force for the team.

StreetSmurf: I'd go with the OOD squad because they seem like nice guys to play with from experience.

Crow the Moonlit: I would pick OOD and replace their mid because the rest of the roster is actually pretty good and that team would be crazy strong.

Were there any players throughout the season that really surprised you watching them or playing against them?

Fat Ectomorph: Hépaté

Hépaté: Jango was the most talented I faced. Bobrovsky - how is he that bad for being a master jungler?

Bobrovsky: StreetSmurf for sure. Not sure what has been going on with him, but he’s been showing less and less carry potential for his team as the seasons go by. he was so dominant in s1, s2 struggled to carry at times, and this season just seems like a supportive carry

StreetSmurf: I'd say that Bigtwig surprised me in a positive way. I didn't expect him to do as much as he did in the games we played against him.

Crow the Moonlit: This season it was Krumpy because I always thought of him as my rival in the ADC role and he really improved from last season.

Any advice you would give to new players/teams trying to join the league?

Fat Ectomorph: Stay positive even when you are losing, don't be toxic.

Hépaté: Learn how to setup around objectives/win conditions and don't be scared to play to learn. Also many teams don't improve cause they don't play with enough confidence which shows in many missed opportunities and hard snowballing potentials.

Bobrovsky: Focus only on what you can control.

StreetSmurf: To never trash talk before the game starts :) Also see you guys in Grand Finals of S4.

Crow the Moonlit: Branch out and find people that you can actually learn and grow with as team together while having a good time because at the end of the day this is a game and we play it to have fun while being competitive.
